It’s all over for 2019 for this year’s Ballarat Beat Pin Up Competition. The crown was taken home by Miss Cherry La Blaze. The Beat (Rejigged) was one of the quietest I’ve been to. But the competition in the Mining Exchange was as hot as ever with another successful event. Sadly a number of people jumped ship before the event but lucky for me it was fewer photos! It was only a few years ago I was slinking around on the sidelines only just discovering the PinUp world. Now I’m fortunate to have been embraced by all in the scene and I look forward to every event. Hopefully Ballarat Beat can get the sponsorship and financial support it needs to be reborn next year.
This year I was given the opportunity to give a prize to the Pin Up performer I thought was the most photogenic. It was a close call with winners of Psychobilly and Geekabilly giving me some of the best shots of the competition. But it was Miss Tamara Hartley that stole the limelight. As a newcomer to the scene, her theatre confidence was outstanding.
